Bottled at cask strength, Aberlour A’bunadh earned the highest recommendation from Wine Enthusiast, and was named the #1 Single Malt Scotch at the 2015 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

While installing a still at Aberlour Distillery, workers discovered a bottle of Scotch from 1898. A dram of the whisky was sent to a laboratory to be analyzed — Aberlour A’bunadh is the remarkable recreation of that whisky.

“96–100 Points. Intriguing and challenging bouquet of aromas of roasted nuts, old leather, black pepper, old oak and dried fruit. Palate entry is aggressive in spirit, but sweet and pruny; midpalate is drier and features tastes of leather and grain. Aftertaste teems with oak resin, hard cheese (meaning, rancio), candied nuts, candied fruit and dark honey.”
